Hey...[Houston definitely sounds a little on the tired side.]

Hate it when I can't sleep. That ever happen to anyone out there? Just not being able to fall asleep? How do you deal with it if you do? Other than those sleeping pills anyway.

Every night.

I don't tend to sleep terribly often, but the one way I've known to be certain to prevent me from staying awake is to thoroughly exhaust myself during the day.

[Joel looks concerned]
You don't sleep often? Isn't that unhealthy?
Gonna see if fighting some crime with Captain Marvel wears me out.

Well, I don't actually require as much sleep anymore, so I wouldn't say so.

But even then, there's simply too much to do for me to let sleep take so many hours out of my day!

[He smiles.] A powers thing then? That's pretty cool.

[Joel chuckles.] My dad used to say the same thing.

You might say it is. My mutation has changed my physiology to the degree that it doesn't quite react to such things in the same way.

[A wry grin.] I'd be afraid of sounding old after a comment like that, but I would be advocating sleep if that were the case, wouldn't I?

So...do you need like...more food? Or less water or anything like that?

[He smiles again.] Don't worry. You don't sound old.

[He pats his belly] Well, one doesn't maintain a six-hundred pound weight without effort!

And I should hope I don't, I'm not even 35!

Six-hundred? Whoa...[He stares a moment, considering something.] You've gotta be real strong then, right? Since I'm guessing that's muscle weight.

That's certainly not old at all. Of course I know some others that say anyone older than 29 is old.

Well, I don't like to boast, but I'm certainly no lightweight.

[A chuckle.] It's safe to assume I'm no longer young, at least!

If Omni were here, he probably be following you around for hours on end. [He chuckles.]

You're only as young as you feel and act. Or so I've been told.

Ah, I'm afraid I don't know your friend Omni, so you'll have to explain that one for me.

Oh yeah. [Quick sheepish smile] Well...he's my little brother...sorta. Long story. But anyway...he's an alien with the ability to perfectly mimic any power he's around. He'd be following you around cause he'd get to be all super strong and blue as long as he was near you.

I've encountered similar powers in the past, though never quite taking that form. They do always seem to manifest in interesting ways!

Where it gets weird...is that his pet plant can do the same thing since it turns out the plant's the same kind of alien.

How curious! I don't have as much experience with botanical physiologies as I might like, but I have heard of them, and they sound quite interesting. Was he in communication with it, as well?

Yeah, seems like he could communicate with it on some level the rest of us couldn't understand. We just thought he was weird. Not to say the rest of us weren't weird but...yeah. He could apparently communicate with it even if he wasn't aware he was actually communicating with an alien.
