Happy anniversary! I mean I know you'd rather be home, but I'm still glad we have you here, sir.

I don't know what we more we could do, sir. Things could have been worse, but I still wish we could have stopped it from happening at all. Um, sorry sir. That wasn't very helpful was it? I guess we can just keep trying, sir. There are a lot of people alive because of us, which I know doesn't make up for the ones we couldn't save, but still...

Just don't doubt yourself, sir. That's exactly what the Major and those other creeps would want. Even if we can't always save everyone we should still keep fighting. We owe them that.

I know what you mean, Seras. I've had to deal with this before. Back home, I saw thousands, tens of thousands of people die in attacks I couldn't prevent. In a way, I guess I should feel fortunate I haven't had to see that here.

But that doesn't change the fact that we are responsible for the safety of the people of this City, and that we have a duty to do everything in our power to protect them. So tell me, Seras, do you think we're doing everything we can?

No, sir I don't. I'm not sure what it is we should do, but it does feel like there's something more we could be doing. We're always reacting, we're never kicking in their doors before they've hurt anyone. I...I know we're cops and we have to obey the law, but there has to be some way we can go after these bastards.

There really isn't an easy answer to this is there, sir?

We can keep trying, sir. We could always train more, maybe do some response time drills? The important thing is we're out there. I...know some of the vigilantes seem to hear about these things before us, but we did things like them it wouldn't be right, would it sir?

We already bend the rules all the time just to adapt to this City, Seras. Adjusting things so that we could learn what they're learning sounds like a fair trade. We'll need to do more drills anyway, now that Sheldon's gone. Response time sounds like a good idea, I'll set something up.

I guess you're right, sir. If it did help us learn of these attacks ahead of time it should be alright.

Um, Sir? Do you think we could maybe do some drills with the helicopter? It would also give us a chance to work with the new officer, Von Hammer, since I know he's going to flying planes in support of us.

[Somebody also might be wanting to shoot a particular canon from said helicopter.]

That sounds good, I know Hans is interested in more coordination with the other air units. I'm gonna have Agatha upgrade the helicopter, we can have an exercise to test out the new features once that's done.
