They are ridiculous, and this technology is pathetically backwards. This planet is clearly on the outer fringes of the Empire, if it is included at all - there is no other way that it could remain so technologically stunted. I suppose, in light of the apparent circumstances, your ignorance is understandable.

You will explain further. What is the name of this planet? In some ways it resembles Coruscant, though clearly the City is inferior.
