I'm curious as to how accurate or how off the mark the Porter is when she greets everyone with "Welcome to the City, hero". Obviously, there's been a few errors, but I'm curious. Personal interest.

What do you personally do to help people? If you're not doing something to help people, what do you do instead?

I'm not sure hero is accurate for me, but I help people when I can, where I can.

The rest of the time, I am a stage magician.

I've never used the term 'hero' for myself. I still help people sometimes.

Even entertainment can help in its own way.

Helping is something anyone can do. Good, evil, neutral, hero and villain, anyone can help someone.

Indeed. During WW2, I toured with some of the entertainment tours, when not... busy.

And yet, sometimes it seems that very few people manage to get off their arses and help. Part of what prompted my question, really.

I think it is mostly that most people are caught up in their own troubles. Few people look beyond them, and if they do see, fear what it might mean should they do something.

But some cannot stop, and will not stop, themselves from helping.
