Fear is a primal instinct, boy. And it isn't only limited to humans.

Human fears are quite basic. While I certainly cannot hear the fears of people in my mind, my powers are certainly similar in that they feed off of it.

So there's really no need to complain. You can always build up your will to block out the noise. The human mind is a complex thing, in spite of all the basic impulses running through it much of the time.
