[There's a rattling noise as the comm shakes with his hands.]

I don't know where I am, I don't know if anyone will even hear this, but I had to tell someone.
My name is Vic Sage, and...I can breathe again.

[A deep breath] For the first time in over a year, I can breathe again.

Crazy little thing, isn't life? I was a ghost myself before coming here. Strangest thing, suddenly having a healthy and bouncy body. To feel, and to hear, and all the rest... people here say this place has it's downsides and I suppose, just like anywhere, it does. But for the moment, it feels just a little like Heaven.

It takes some getting used to, doesn't it? I've been living my life with the knowledge that death was right around the corner, and now...

Yeah. I've been a ghost for almost a year, maybe longer. And dead before that, even longer yet.

This being alive thing is almost like a faded memory.

I hope, however, you find it suits you again. I am lucky enough to have found my daughter here.

I don't know how many people I've really left behind that I'd be able to reconnect with. I managed to settle most of my affairs before checking out. [Most of them, with one or two notable exceptions.]

Then maybe this is merely about new starts, or new adventures, for you.

I suppose it could be. Almost as if I really had died and this is just my afterlife.

Maybe. Or as if you had lived, and this is your next life. Death is hardly the end.

But is there a difference between the next life and an afterlife? It really all depends on your perspective, as "afterlife" defines itself as being what follows one's life. This may eventually become my "next life", but right now it definitely feels like an afterlife.

Six of one, and half a dozen of the other, I suspect.

Whatever it feels like, perhaps we can have a drink in it, sometime. I have found a rather happening music hall that plays the music I am more used to, rather than the modern... sound.

Not a fan of pop music? I suppose it may take time to grow on you.
So what kind of a joint is it, a jazz club maybe? I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Swing, Jazz, and some big band, depending on the night one goes.

I think so. A few nights this last week, I went by it, at least for a few minutes, for a relaxer after the show.

I perform at the Broadway Theater, working stage magic. It's been something of an interest since I was young.

I don't think I've ever seen a stage magician, are you any good?
