[Lily missed classes today at the Xavier Institute on the first day back to school. She didn't call in sick, either. Teachers and fellow students who know her might note this is unusual for her. Between having a healing factor and genuinely enjoying her time at the Institute, the last time Lily missed a day, it was to help pull civilians out of the aftermath of the chemical fire. Today, a more personal reason has kept Lily away from classes.
When she finally speaks, her voice sounds both shaky and worn out. Did she sleep last night? No. Instead, she used the precious shreds of self-control she had left to get herself somewhere isolated before she hurt anyone, and pounded holes into concrete. This improvement in her control went unnoticed, however, and the sun rose before Lily finally went home.]
