[When the video comes on the device has been set so Kale can see it as he works in his kitchen. There is a controlled ferocity in the way he's currently slicing up some carrots, though his expression is as serene as ever. Kidnapping usually denotes holding for a gainful purpose such as ransom or leverage against an outside force.

There was no chance of ransom and we were not held to leverage against an outside force. Instead, we were detained in a temporary confinement until such time as we complied with the wishes of our captor, at which point we were released.

It's a subtle difference in the details.

I did appear to be in that unique perspective.

While I can appreciate the young woman's position and I can also understand that she may have consciously believed she had no choice, I don't believe she approached the situation in the frame of mind she believed she did ( ... )

It was an attack on one of my people. Abby, the defendant, she's part of my team. Can you tell me anything about what happened that could help in locating the man responsible for this?
