There will be a thunderstorm tomorrow. It should be interesting to watch; I find myself oddly fascinated with severe weather patterns. It's very different here from California, or any desert region, really.

There's a church in the Bowery that is holding a festival for the entire weekend. Also several museums and restaurants are holding events along the same theme.

I realize it's not Mexico but I don't know that now would be a good time to travel.
