[Private to Rachel Grey]

I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Echo. We met one day in the Institute?

I  was talking to Maggie about boarding there, and she advised that I get in contact with you about it.

At the moment, my funds are limited, but I'll pay what I can.

I'm looking for a job and was pointed in the direction of  ( Read more... )

We can always use more help at the clinic, yes. I can't promise a huge paycheck but it will certainly be respectable.

A question I will need to ask, however, given the 'event' you suffered through - can I count on you for reliability despite the fact that you have so many personalities co-existing in your mind?

Thanks. I would appreciate it if you arranged it so I would only work part-time.

And I worked for three months in a hospital using my medical skills, without any of my other personalities interfering. I can control them so they only come through when needed.

Part-time, it would be.

Could you give me a clearer picture of the extent of your credentials, to know what sort of responsibilities could be entrusted to you?

Thank you.

The medical skills I have are that of a nurse. The Imprint has years of experience, which means I have years of experience. And the skills have already been taken for a test run because of, as I said before, the work I did in a hospital back home.

Rebecca knows her job, she knows what she's doing. I know what I'm doing.

All right then. I'll take you at your word that your 'composite event' didn't have the same erratic effect it had on Alpha.

If you stop by the Clinic and ask to talk to Beatrice, tell her I sent you and she'll start your training.

I think the fact that I haven't gone on a mass murdering spree since I got here proves that I'm nothing like Alpha.

I've just gotten some new information, however, concerning your interactions with a Bennett Halverson. Perhaps you aren't a serial killer like Alpha, but there are new concerns about your viability as an employee.

I need to know your version of the events surrounding these accusations that you are a terrorist - especially before I entrust you with the care of patients in my Clinic.

What is it that initially brought Caroline Farrell to the Dollhouse as a volunteer?

Caroline Farrell was an idealist. She wanted to take down the Rossum Corporation. She believed the extent of their wrong-doing was animal testing. However, she soon found it was more than that. She found out that they were testing on humans.

She befriended Bennett Halverson to get access to Rossum. When Bennett found out, she offered to help. The two of them planted bombs in Rossum's Tucson building, but Caroline wanted to abort the mission after she found human test subjects in the bowels of the building.

However, the bombs were time-locked and they went off. Bennett was injured as a piece of debris fell on her arm, crushing it. Caroline left her so Bennett would be safe from Rossum's harsh means of punishment, but she did so at the risk of being caught herself. She was then moved to the Dollhouse.

Farrell was moved to the Dollhouse or Halverson was? Was Farrell's connection to Halverson ever discovered?

Caroline was. She became one of the Dolls of the LA Dollhouse. Bennett also joined a Dollhouse, the one in DC, but in a different capacity to Caroline. Bennett became the DC programmer.

I think so. Rossum has ways of finding things out. Not all of them are pleasant or even humane, but as long as they get their information, they don't care.

So Halverson had an objection to human testing, but no objection to running the Dollhouse? And Farrell entered the program unwillingly?

Bennett changed after the incident in Tucson. She must've. Because the Bennett that Caroline remembers helping her is completely different to the Bennett I remember torturing me.

Caroline wasn't exactly one of the Dollhouse's volunteers, but she knew there was no other way than to become a Doll.

Halverson held a grudge against you, then, for abandoning her when she was injured?

Farrell became a Doll to try and bring Rossum down from within, is that correct?

A grudge against Caroline, yes. What Bennett doesn't seem to realize is that we may look the same, but Caroline and Echo are two completely different people.

To begin with, no. She became a Doll to avoid a federal prison for her acts against Rossum. Then when Alpha performed a composite event on me, I - as Echo - became more aware and sought to take down Rossum from the inside.

Hm.

What do you know of an Adelle DeWitt?

She was the head of the LA Dollhouse. She organized engagements, recruited Actives, that sort of thing.

Look, Doctor, I contacted you hoping to get a job, not to be pumped for information. I'm giving you this information now, because I trust you'll put it to some good. In return, I think you should trust me enough to give me a postion at the Clinic. If you're worried about any of my other personalities interfering, don't be. I've got them under control.

So, do you trust me?
