Today, I took a walk.
While I was out, I saw a young man in the park, practicing unusual powers. There were other people around, but no one paid him any attention.
I know that this is a common occurrence in this place, but to me it is incredible. I would like to explain myself: unlike some of the people who were brought here against their wishes, I have always had the power I experience in the City. I awoke to my abilities at a young age, but I lived in a world where such things are not allowed...I was forced to live very cautiously, fearing discovery by even my own parents.
To be able to use one's abilities in public without major consequence...that is a miracle, I think. If this world is a prison, as some people say...at least there are good things, too.
