[ The feed clicks on to show a blurry view of a wall at first, but soon clears up, and swings around to show the operator is taking a video tour of the house. And anyone who has actually seen the inside of the house Ichigo, Shiro, and Orihime share will recognize the decor.

Only, now there's some new editions lined up along the kitchen table.
Cut for images, and to save F-lists. )

Aww, c'mon! I gotta show the guy who did all the work! Don't be a sourpuss.

[ Trying to creep away by putting the flowers between himself, and Shiro B| ]

It is too late in the season for more. These can be moved inside when it grows cooler.

[oh yes, that B). But he's still broadcasting for now ] holeheart August 26 2010, 16:58:31 UTC
[Shiro waves TZ's comm around; the one he used to make the video post, then walks over beside him, looking down and grinning. You can't escape~]

Hehehehehe! Who knew Little Boy Black had such a green thumb, huh? What are these things? [he points to one of the hanging baskets] And don't be cute and say "FLOWERS".

[ Damn you, and your height. Have a long-suffering sigh as he switches off to water the other hanging pot. ]

The red bunches are a type of geranium, mixed with some butterfly plants, and some other variants on 'Forget Me Nots'.

[ Puzzled, he glances up at Shiro. ]

Why do you ask?

[it's nice being the tallest. For now. He isn't sure why the zanpakutou hasn't returned to his sealed form... but he's not going to ask]

Forget-me-nots...? Why are they called that? [he lets the camera fall to his side and he reaches up to the little purple flowers. Until TZ speaks again, and he (very tsunly) huffs and turns away]

No reason! I'm not interested or anything!

[ Because he can't just yet. When he figures out how to shape shift with his own human body, he'll go back to "old man Zangetsu". Otherwise he's kind of stuck. Your tsun amuses him, though. ]

It was supposed that the wearers of the flower would not be forgotten by their lovers. Even in death.

[ Well, Mr. Not Interested, have a watering can pushed at you.]

Since you insist on taping me, you can make yourself useful. There is plant food mixed in with that water, so be sparing. The potted ones need it.

[Suits him fine! you're short and cute. Mostly short. He's good with that.

He sort of looks at the flowers wistfully, tilting his head] Do flowers have that sort of power?

[he takes the can since uh, it sort of got shoved at him, and at this point his pockets the comm. Anyone watching this exchange will now just see the inside of a jeans pocket]

.... It has pink spots on it. Why's it got pink spots on it? [he turns it over, spilling some of the water on accident] Hie! [QUICKLY RIGHTS IT... then sort of carefully turns it over, this time on top of a plant. He also sort of drowns it] Oops... this isn't too easy...

[ Frowning at that, but it's not bad for the flowers per say. ]

The watering can was small, and inexpensive.

[ Setting his handful of dead leaves down, he steps up beside Shiro ( tall hollow, and tall wielder, grumble, grumble ) covering Shiro's hand with his own to guide him - whether Shiro liked it, or not. ]

Tilt it slowly. There is no need to drown them. And you may be surprised what power such a fragile thing as a flower can have.

[he kind of pouts, which turns to a frustrated sneer. This shouldn't be this hard to grasp]

[oh no he did not just touch him. Shiro hisses, like an offended snake or cat. He keeps his lips in a sneer as TZ leads his hand around, but he actually paying attention... he also totally believes that flowers have magical powers now, thanks TZ]

Hn... I can do it! [he jerks his hand away, then purses his lips as he attends to some of the other flowers]

[ It requires subtlety. Not Shiro's strong point. And maybe flowers do have magical powers. I mean, why else to people give them as gifts? Plus, look at foxglove; one makes digitalis from the flowers, and it's both a poison, and medicine for people with heart conditions. ]

...I am surprised you aren't attempting to destroy them.

[ Because, seriously. All Zangetsu's experiences with Shiro have been about Shiro taking control, or destroying everything he could, or both. ]

[being a creature like he is, he never really considered plants as anything other than little green things. The idea that they're more powerful and useful than they look is fascinating to him. Plus, they ARE kind of pretty...

He gives TZ a glare]

Destruction is only fun if the thing yer destroying provides some sort of resistance. These little things are harmless. Crushing 'em seems... [he wrinkles his nose, thinking of a word and carefully, even gingerly supporting a somewhat wilted bloom with a bony claw] Wrong. Pointless. I've nothing to gain in killing a flower.

[he nods decisively. Circumstances change, bro. Now that he's not constantly fighting for dominance and trying to claw his way out of a sideways prison, he's got time for other thoughts. He's never actually bothered to look at these little things very closely; they're extremely intricate, from the blossoms all the way down to the roots. He respects nature a lot more than he respects human stuff, that's for certain]

You will understand if I find the notion that you require your prey to struggle disgusting.

[ Perfectly calm, and controlled as he says this, too. They're just too different, the opposite ends of the spectrum ( literally, since Shiro is all bone white, down to his lips, and hair, and TZ is sable, and black through, and through. ) ]

Tch, I understand. [it's because you're a big fat weenie, TZ, but he's not gonna say that] I don't expect you to get it. You're a zanpakutou, I'm a predator.

[he waters another plant. Yeah, some big tough predator you are, Shiro. And they are. The Yin and Yang of Ichigo's soul. Sitting here together. Gardening.

It's sort of precious]

[ In a completely mental way, yes. It is. ]

You are the embodiment of destruction. Of everything that could tear him apart. And in the end, consume everything you covet, even what little reasoning you can call your own.

[ Having pinched off the wilted leaves, and spent flower heads, the irony of how this conversation is going as opposed to how it usually would be at the point of a sword is not lost on Tensa. ]

I am an extension of will - a weapon. By rights, we shouldn't be able to exist together at the same time, but here we are.

[Shiro finishes with the pots on the ground and turns the watering can over, now empty save a few drops. He looks down into it and sniffs it, curiously, then shakes his head. Plant food; smells bad, man.]

Keh. I won't argue that. I am what I am! Though I have more reason now... [and has actually sat down and thought about what would happen if he DID take over and destroy everything. What then? Death? Suddenly it's not so appealing] But you can't deny, he needs me as much as he needs you. Without my power, your blade is nonexistent. Without HIS will, the blade is dull. Takes two to tango, brat! [a pause] Or in this case, three.

Blame the porter on that one. She's the one that saw fit to split the kid into three, each with a third of the soul.

Internal conflict can weaken, or strengthen - it is all dependent on how strong the desire to succeed is.

[ Shoulders wilting a little bit, himself. He really dislikes you Shiro. He despises the way you hurt Ichigo, and how frightened you make him. But he also has to admit that even though Ichigo is afraid of looking into those dark corners of himself, they are powerful nonetheless. ]

...He doesn't remember. I know you've noticed this, and you know exactly what I am referring to.

[ Ulquiorra nearly killing him, and you taking over in one massive blaze of pain, and death. The dome, and Aizen shaking Ichigo's confidence to the core. ]
