5. Pas de... uh, crepes? (Video)
[The comm switches on, pointed straight at Duck, who's standing over Ben's stove with an enormous grin on her face... which happens to be covered in flour and streaks of butter. She waves a messy spatula at the camera.]
Hi, everybody! This morning I got up kinda late, so I missed breakfast... and I realized, I don't really know how to cook anything! I mean, I can make sandwiches and stuff, and the birds all say I make a great birdseed mix, but that's just putting things together, not really cooking.
[Her grin manages somehow to become even wider. This may be the closest Duck will ever get to looking like a peacock, or at least strutting like one.]
It's really cool to know I can try something new and not suck at it! Okay, I burned the first two, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn't so hard...
[She reaches off-camera and--nearly glowing with pride--holds up a huge plate of... pancakes. Some of which are a little too brown, some of which look kind of weirdly shaped, but all of which seem to be perfectly edible.]
I made pancakes! And they taste nice!
Anyone want to try some? I made a whole lot! Rue, I tried to make one that looked like an R, but it sort of came out lumpy, so... sorry. Mew, I'll trade you for some brownies! Fakir, Mytho, Mr. Qui-Gon, Miss Tiana? There's plenty for everybody!
