Okay! Right! So!
I have a job. A steady, regular job at a hospital. Easy enough, people need nurses and they'll help me out with state-certification. That's fine, that's great, that's stellar. But, and there is a but:
I am getting married. That has always been true, it's not like I just asked her the moment she came to the City of anything, how weird would that be? No, we've been engaged and she had a ring. I got it for her. Good ring, nice ring.
Got left behind back on the TARDIS. Not her fault. Not that she hasn't lost it before, that's why I told her to leave it on the TARDIS in the first place. But a ring's important, right? It's all...symbolic.
It's also insanely expensive. Like, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford a new one soon. So: anyone need any sort of...extra nursing...type work done?
Alternatively, inexpensive engagement rings? These exist? Where?
