I have no stake in this country's politics, and I don't really care. But I don't condone the action either. It's not that much different from an invasion.

The same reasons war happens anywhere. Somebody wants somebody else's land, or resources, or there's a radical difference in politics. Maybe our people are just quicker to act and less likely to sit back and let it happen to them.
