[A proxied post made to the community, untraceable and from an account number that doesn't actually exist. The video function turns on to show a now-familiar man in a suit, sitting at a large oak desk with his hands folded in front of him. Yep, it's in Mayor Ellis' office. Sitting on a plain wooden chair beside the desk is a young man; he looks a ( Read more... )

[Give her a minute, because CONFLICTED RAVEN IS CONFLICTED about how she feels right now.]

... there's no way...

I do believe that the evidence says otherwise. In large, neon letters, really.

But how did you--- ... is he all right?

Oh, he's well enough. However, that won't last if he becomes uncooperative.

... I see.

Oh, come now. You can't possibly be worried about a few lines of code, can you?

Is that all he is to you? That simply figures. The majority of people can't see something for what it really is.

Not just to me; it's all he is. Any thoughts or emotions are just a subroutine. The same goes for that voice you Cityzens find yourselves at the mercy of.

Thoughts and emotions, regardless of where they come from, make someone just as alive and worthwhile as the next person. I may not agree with most things that 'voice' claims, but I at least have respect for it, and consider it just as alive and worthwhile as anyone else.

He may be programmed to feel things, but he still feels them. He's still real. Only a monster would think otherwise.

I know of some humans that were considered 'accidents' as well, it doesn't make them any less real.

Ouch. No need to bring that into this. But there is a distinct difference between a living, breathing person with a particular start in life, and a troublesome program created by the wrong keystrokes.

No.

There really isn't.

Well, I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree, won't we?

Also not surprising.

[A sigh through her nose.] ... good night, Iron Man.

I'll pass the message on. Unless you'd like to deliver it yourself, miss?
