[Duck peers into the comm, blue eyes huge and freckled nose wrinkled with curiosity.]
I don't get it. It looks like a music box, but... the lady in the big room said it's for me to talk to people. I wonder if it's like the mechanical piano in the ballet studio... except that just makes the piano play stuff that's already been put into the record. So maybe this is like that in reverse? Or--[awkward cringe] ahahahaha, I'm talking to myself again, aren't I.
Right. Um. If this music box is for talking to people, then I guess I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? I'm Duck, and I come from Gold Crown Town. I'm a ballet student at the Academy, and I, uh... I was kinda lighting my lamp so I could get going to bed when everything went all wobbly...
[She has a lamp in her free hand, and she hugs it a little closer as she talks. Clearly this experience is scaring her a little.]
U-um. My point is, I... I'm really not that sure where I am, and, uh... I think I'm supposed to still be doing stuff in Gold Crown Town, so... can anybody tell me how to get back?
Or maybe at least give me a match so I can light my lamp? I-it's not that I'm scared. Just. My lamp feels bad when it gets too dark. That's all.
