[amid the outdoor sounds of spring and faint bustle and holler of construction things, there is a Superman. he's not too peppy, but dammit he's not sounding that worn out.]

Things are starting to look almost normal back down here. Everyone's still shaken up, though. They have every right to be. I haven't had my ear to the news, but I doubt something like this'll disappear anytime soon.

[a thoughtful pause.]

I didn't get a chance to regroup with most of you who came to help. You all have my thanks for your efforts; it wasn't easy, what we did, but you all rose to the challenge and helped put a stop to something that would've been more than a disaster. Thank you.

Those of you back in the City, too. I don't doubt that many of you rallied up against that chaos, be it for the people or your home. Either way, it's good to know we've got us an overabudnance of good help. [another pause. help, huh...]

I'm at a disadvantage here, though. There's a lot of you here I don't know quite yet, and I'd like that to change. If we share the same interest--working to keep people safe and stop messes like this--I'd like to know you, and I want to be called upon when help is needed. I can't be everywhere, but I don't know too many that can be. That's why networking like this is so important. So, if I may...

I'm Superman. I'm here to help, and I'll do what I can, when I can. Who are you?

[beat. er...on a faintly lighter note--]

I'm also down here and...I'll need a port back to the City. I'd appreciate that help.

[private to DOCTOR MID-NITE.]

Doctor, I don't doubt you've got your hands full, but when you have the time, I think...I think I'll need your professional opinion. Let me know when's convenient for you. Thanks.
