I'm not the only Shinigami. William seems more your mental image of us - [a sigh] - I routinely kick Shinigami codes and regulations in the teeth whenever I please. I'm a rather special case.

In London, I had a list the organization delivered me every month of souls I was sent to judge - was this person a good or evil being? Do they deserve to live or die? Should I allow them to continue drawing breath, or is it better that I end their lives in one dramatic sweep?

...However, here I have no list. I judge and take lives for pleasure more than for work. It's simply too addictive a task to let go!
