Something's wrong. This is really bad.
[In the clinic, Suzi's in the hospital bed, tossing and turning. Her illness has gotten worse and the doctors and staff have no idea what's wrong. The healers have been overworked trying to help everyone affected. Suzi clutches her stomach in pain and lets out a guttural groan.]
[Toro's in the other bed in the room, going in and out of sleep. He opens a bleary eye when the noises she's been making on and off reach a new pitch ]
'Lo...? Are you okay over there?
[Oh god, Suzi's panicking. This is NOT SOME FLU. She jerks an arm, knocking her IV stand, barely feeling the needle pull out of her arm. Her stomach twists.]
I'm...ARGHHHH...BAD
[his head jerks up at the crash, brow huddled ]
---d'you---d'you need a nurse?
[It's getting harder for Suzi to think clearly. Her stomach is grumbling loudly and the pain she's feeling is becoming unbearable. Suddenly, the pain stops.
It's turned into something else. And now it's all Suzi can think about.]
RRRUGGHHHHH
[Toro flares up out of habit, fire licking down the sheets of his bed. An alarm goes off overhead and he swears under his breath ]
Aw, hang. Not now!
[Suzi screams. She falls off the bed and dies. Suddenly and without overture.]
Miss---mi---oh, lord.
[He can't get out of bed, but Toro's staring at her with an awful kind of expression ]
[Suzi's eyes suddenly pop open and it's not anything natural. They're completely unfocused.]
RRUGGGHHH...hungry
[Well, now he knows he's in for it. Biting his lip, he pulls out his IV---already charred from the surge in his heat---and lets his fire creep up to the elbow of his right arm. If she's going to attack, he's as ready as he can be with useless legs and one arm in a sling ]
[Suzi's not thinking very much, but she's got some sort of consciousness. And the only thing she's after are in living people.]
[She jerks up and lurches toward the moving flaming figure. Food.]
