I have been learning about this world every chance that I am able. History, science, religion, math, politics -- primarily as a warrior, I have never been much for scholarship but since I am now a member of this society I thought I should learn as much as I can about the way in which things work.
Currently I am reading up on the laws of this city and was surprised to find that a woman can only have one husband. What is the logic behind this? If she has the means to support more than one husband, I don't see any reason why it's unlawful.
For a city that is supposedly forward thinking and technology driven, this all seems rather backwards.
