The walking was actually falling, and the door was a concrete path. Looks like I learnt how to fly, and forgot forty feet up.

I was either flying, or the planet fell out of orbit beneath my feet.

I'd take still being on my feet and having no idea of what my powers are, over knowing that I can fly and having had my insides cut open. But that's just me.
