It comes to my attention now that, yes, I must seek a home of my own. As per my original intentions, I will be attempting preparations for a homeless shelter. Both for myself, and to service others who require sanctuary and a temporary home ( Read more... )

Greetings, Arsenic. I am Saint Walker, also known as the Blue Lantern.

It appears we both have the same goal, or so I presume.

Saint Walker? Have you been canonized or are you just a character from Jane Eyre?

But yeah, looking like our goals probably intersect. But our motivations might be different.

I'm not sure if I follow that, precisely.

Our motivations may be different, and that is fine. Not everyone does something for the same reason. I would think that because our goal is the same, that is why we may be capable of working together.

Oh, not down with the Brontës? There's an angelfaced dude who goes by St. John, even though he's not a saint. Just has a funny name.

Sure. I think everyone could probably use some help, right? But, I have a ground rule, because the reason I'm doing this is so kids can have a safe place to go. And that means letting them in without asking questions, or trying to send them back to their drunk, abuse-happy parents. It's kind of an inheritance.

Human culture overall is not something I'm terribly familiar with. My apologies.

I understand, and I concur. This safehouse has the intention of being a sanctuary with no question to those who genuinely require. I believe children who need somewhere safe fits that profile easily.

Oh, space case type. Protip: Jane Eyre is better than Wuthering Heights. If you ever feel like exploring earth literature.

Then we're on the same page. So what were you thinking?

I will in due time, if my stay here continues. Thank you for your recommendation.

People who first arrive in this world will often prefer to not stay at the MAC, or have difficulty finding jobs to support themselves. Lost people, or those who are unfortunately homeless. I want a place for those kinds of people who need somewhere they can rely on until they are back on their own feet.

Yeah, the MAC is all sorts of sketch. It would be good to have another option. I have a building, and funds, but these things take time. The goal is to have it ready to accept people by New Year's. Are you offering to contribute, or?

Absolutely. I think with my help, I can assist in its preparation a little faster than you were expecting. Funds, I do not have. Capability with construction, I certainly can.

I have but one request. That I may stay at this building as my home, if it does not bother you.

Hey, giving isn't just about money, right?

It would be good having someone living there, anyway. In the event of an emergency, et cetera. Do you want to meet up and have a look at the place, first?

Of course.

I would love to, should you have the time.
