I've been home twice. Nothing seemed to change. No one noticed that I was gone. No one died because of my absence. Shouldn't worry so much; can't change it until we do something about the situation here.

As for grief. Mourning...

Some things you never get over. Maybe not in a human lifetime, anyway. Then again, I might still have a few years to go.
