[action] [About half an hour later, Duck arrived at the library, wondering what this could be about. She was walking briskly and cheerfully, and when she saw Fakir, she picked up her pace a little more - only to lose her balance and fall face-first at Fakir's feet.] Quaaaaaaa- ouch.

Fakir closed the book he had been reading and stooped down to offer her a hand up. "God, you're so hopeless," he said with a grimace. "You all right?"

Duck sat up and rubbed her face. "Yeah, I'm okay." she replied as she took Fakir's hand and let herself be pulled up. She brushed herself off.

"You've got a knack for roughing yourself up," Fakir said, sounding almost amused. He gestured to the little concrete bench beside him, and his tone grew more serious. "Sit down, I'm sure you ran most of the way here."

Duck reddened a little. "I did not run all the way here." There were such things as buses, after all. And she wasn't going to admit that she had run from the bus stop to the library. But she did sit down, and looked at Fakir expectantly.
