Mobile phone ringing. 7.30 Who is it? Phone is acting weird. Re-dials number. Boss asks me to come to work extra in the morning. I can't. Back to sleep. Wake up later. Make breakfast. Egg in a basket. Some more bread. Mmm, porridge. Water. Sofa. TV and dull cartoons. Some sci-fi stuff on telly about portals. Space. Aliens. No more tv. Puts on old audio book vinyl of James Joyce's Ulysses. First on regular speed. Takes care of the dishes. Switch record speed to a higher speed. Sounds funny but needs more attention. Back to old speed. Not listening closely. Newspapers tells me nothing. Listen to the last minutes of Ulysses with water. Should I read or should I not? Listen to Pet Shop Boy's "Actually". Speed up. Speed down. Speed up. Speed down. Listen to side 1 only. Goes to brush my teeths.
Dials mom at work. Tells her to remember to get a recipe from her parents. Gets dressed. Watch some of "V for Vendetta" on telly. Already seen. Walks out. Close door. Locks door. Bye dog. Hello muddy walkways on the way to asphalt. Cloudy day. Where are the horses? I don't like this new road. That's right, I can't go with the bus. When will they get that new system? These are really empty streets. More cars. A truck. Lifting some sticks. Smells of gasoline. Don't like it. Need to speed up to get out of here. Finally less gasoline. Things look so bleak at this time of the year. No snow. Possibly the last time it snowed here forever. I want chilliness.
Bridge. People. Need to take a photo of the landscape to accompany todays journal entry. One is enough. There is that old building. Why are they turning that into a hotel? People who live there can't move elsewhere. Hooray for hotels. It is a noisy place too, no ideal place for a hotel in other words. Under the bridge. Tuesday means no market. Haven't bought anything there lately anyway. Need to get some money from the cash machine. That's enough amount. Time to hitch a ride with the train. Looks like it is these newer futuristic trains today. No I don't want a newspaper. Let's have another snapshot. Very empty among the seats today. Don't need a ticket for this trip. Just one station. Finally there. What is that? Another snapshot. I wonder what they are building there.
Maybe I don't need to pay for my ticket back. No one is working at the trainstation at the moment. Been a long time since I visited the 'surplus company'. Have to take a look at their whole repertoir. Looks like they got some new military surplus. Some cool stuff. Shortpants. Dog stuff. Paint. Vaccuum cleaners. Clothes. Kitchy stuff to fill your home. Olive oil, but where is the price? Tamarind syrup. Some interesting stuff. Better get what I was here for. Some candy. Some more candy. Goes to cashier. Forgets a plastic bag. Nevermind. Goes back to trainstation. Looks like I see someone I know. He is one year older than me. Forgot his name though. He got long hair now in a ponytail I recon. Might it be dreads? I thought he was on Gotland or in Skåne. Nevermind. Looks like I have to walk.
Such a heavy loads of candy. What is that smell coming from? Oh, it is the Scania factory. That small fastfood stand looks cosy. I wonder how the man who owns it have worked there. Someone else is getting this candy I am carrying around but what am I going to get? Dried fruit perhaps. I need some tea too. Time to speed up a bit. Let us have a look in this store. What a giant 'fish and meat bar'. They got pralines too. Escargots? Impressive. Things looks exotic but it is too much in a small space. Might not be that pleasant. The cashier is an old lady. Very old. Not to be mean but she should have retirement by now. Oh well. No dried fruit here anyway.
Next store. The dried fruit section is boring. I buy another day. Hey I know that guy. Hey there. Things are fine with me, and you? Okay, we talked for a while. Told eachother to call. Let's get some tea now. What kinds of teas do they have here? Better ask the people working here. Oh, that smelled nice, but too smokey to me. Mmm, let us have more Oolong, some Yunnan and some Russian tea from Georgia. Seems fine. Better head home now. Looks like I know some people in this crowd. Nevermind I haven't had a lunch. Can't imagine that no one haven't cared for that car. It's alarm have screamed all day. Better hurry home. So tired in my legs. Finally home. Opens door and our dog barks.
