"How did we get to be so hated?
Gather 'round the tube and wonder why
economy, spirituallity, together are void of harmony.
Create a god and brush the skin with the oil of a bleeding tanker ship.
Life's just a matter of who is willing to deliver the blow that'll strike you down."

There's not much going on so i'm just going to talk politics and music. Before I state my political views, please realize that i'm not attacking anyone or their opinion personally, and that my rhetoric won't elect a president or change your mind. Unless you're uninformed and want some good truth...

I don't consider myself strict to any one party, even though I do have a slightly conservative mind. Yes, I am in favor of Bush over Kerry in this election, while in 2000 I was far too ignorant to have a stance. Why am I supportive of Bush? Because he is the president, things are going well, and I like his stance on most issues, or at least more issues than Kerry.

The way we're taxing is much better for the economy. Bush cut taxes, and put our nation in debt, right? Wrong. Remember that thing called 9/11? We spent a lot of money on war, intelligence, and boosting the economy. Bush's tax cut came from Clinton's surplus, not our national debt. The war that 89% of americans supported cost money and lives, deal with it. Its an all-volunteer military, and there will be NO draft, as Bush said. As for that bullshit arguement that we wouldn't have to deal with 9/11 if Gore was elected, voting for Kerry isn't going to erase the past. America made a mistake, stop dwelling on the past and move on. Kerry can't make up for what Bush lost, so now we have to side with the president who has the best plan for the future. All of Kerry's plans are unrealistic and not supported. Bush can't attack him for these fantasies during the debates (unless Kerry voted against something) because Kerry doesn't have the power to execute his dreams. Moving on.

Kerry wants to raise the minimum wage. Good idea right, we're working teenagers who want to get paid more so we can spend our money on... anything. There's just one little glitch in that plan. Its the whole, every-business-that-pays-miniumum-wage-or-anything-near-it-will-have-to-raise-prices-to-repent. While raising the minimum wage you force inflation which is one the stupidest moves a president and his cabinet can make during a time where our economy is shaking and we're in national debt.

As for only taxing the rich a lot more than the poor, its just stupid. Someone making $300k/year most likely worked to earn that much money. It's not up to John Kerry to decide how much money they can have. That's the beauty of our current system. You're allowed to earn as much money as you can legally figure out how to earn, and you can decide how to spend it. Insisting that your neighbor must give you half of his wages because he earns ten times as much is absurd. It's better known as communism. If you want to have $300k/year to live on, figure out how to earn $300k/year. It's called capitalism. And know what? You put this money back into the pockets of the wealthy, like Bush did, and Jobs are created for the lower and middle class. Its what Ronald Reagan believed in, and he was one of the best US Presidents. A free economy in America will help itself, because it's designed to do so.

But the lower class people don't want this, why is that? Because they are desperate for money; a check in the mail appeals a hell of a lot more to them than a Job and a growth in the economy. John Kerry knows this, and his evil, liberal, democratic ways might win him the election, but they won't win him a sucessful America.

Enough is enough. If you're a Kerry supporter because you like his views better, and agree with his stances, thats fine (ashley). I respect your opinion, and see your logic. However if you parade around your Kerry support with the reasoning that Bush can't speak english and is an idiot, you have no respect from me. I'm sick and tired of ignorant Kerry supporters who think they're smart and politically sophisticated just because they can pick up a bush-ism. Its funny for all of us, but if you're going to base your political views on some comedy, thats just pathetic. Grow up. Note to osteo: i'm not old enough to vote, get over your own political opinion.
