...because I felt the need to say it.

I lay her down gently, her legs trembling. Her heart beats fast. I part her lips with mine. She gasps. The smell is unique but attractive. She tastes salty and sweet. Hair scratches at my face but I ignore it, eager to show her how happy I am to have her.
She opens herself to accept me, and I enter her space. She embraces me from all sides. She is wet, warm, hugging me tightly all around. I take her in my arms and clutch her tightly as her bosom heaves, pressing against my chest. Her breath is hot against my neck.
She pulls away and gazes deeply into my eyes. A weak but genuine smile crosses her face. She caresses my face before whispering sweetly, “good job, you dork. Now we both need a shower. Get offa me before I stink up the couch.”
I have just greeted my girlfriend at the door with a kiss and a hug after her return from her daily run, despite the sweat and odor generated by such activity as hers. I do not have a girlfriend, which is why this story is fiction.

Greeting one’s significant other, even with a display of affection, is often viewed as a monotonous thing, an everyday occurrence. Others may see the world through a different lens. I am one such person. I also wish to share the way I view things with others who may not share my vision, but whom I feel may enjoy it. I wish to show the world that, even in the ordinary, there is always a touch of the extraordinary. This is my passion, which is why I am a writer.
