On Saturday night at the camp site, Ellisef and her two daughters and I went to the parking lot to stargaze for awhile. Sinced it happened to be the high point of the Leonid (sp?) meteor shower, we got quite a show. It was also the first time I've been in a place dark enough to actually see the Milky Way since I left Colorado almost 20 years ago. I'd forgotten how beautiful the stars are when you can really see them. Makes me want to plan a trip out west this winter and spend the night on top of some mountain far from civilization...now that's where you can see stars!
But oh, my dear Gods! What a beautiful galaxy we live in!!!
