so the rites of spring festival was just alright. vandebilt students SUCK- they weren't there for the music, they just wanted to get drunk and probably have sex later. you can do that at a frat party. also, nobody danced. erica and i were one of the very few dancing. everyone else was standing around talking, and walking around. maybe the readers of this still don't understand how horrible this crowd was. after ben folds finished his set, nobody screamed for an encore, save a few people in the crowd (including me and erica). so he didn't! also, nobody sung along to ben unless it was from his new crappy album, and of course, when he sang "brick", which is a really sad song and i'm sure 90% of the crowd there didn't know what it was really about, or else they wouldn't be so ecstatic when he played it. unless they're mentality is, "yeah! abortion, woohoo!"
*end rant*
good things: ben lee and my morning jacket were really good. gov't mule was good, i think i would have enjoyed them more if i knew more of their songs. everytime i went to the bathroom, i always had a story when i came back. some random girl told erica she was pretty.
good things not related to the festival: driving around aimlessly (erica and i really know our way around nashville pretty well now), tattoo shop, centennial park, earth day, parthenon, and just hanging out with erica in general! we know how to have a good time.
i'm going to a play now, then later tonight going to the nashville film festival to see a danielson famile film. i have done NOTHING school-related this whole week. ha.
