We didn't get very far from Moab after starting on
a 411 mile drive before making our first stop. But it was for a good cause! Just 1/2 hour or so south of Moab we passed Wilson's Arch, visible from the side of the road, so we stopped to visit.
In the photo there's a climber on a belaying rope descending from the arch.
Wilson's Arch was one of several things on our list of "Do it if we have time." We did it even though we really didn't have time because it was easy to visit. We're all the way out here, 1,000 miles from home, what's another night of too little sleep? 😵
There are plenty of other things on our list of "Given enough time..." that we're not doing this trip. Many of them are way more awesome than Wilson's Arch. So why aren't we doing the most awesome stuff first? It's because we don't want this trip to become a Greatest Hits album.
We don't just want a reprise of songs we've sung before or hikes we've hiked before, even if they charted well. Instead we're making a priority of things we haven't done before, ever. Wilson's Arch is one of those, so we carved out a little time today to make it happen.
