My company operates on a fiscal year 11 months shifted from the calendar year. That means that we just finished up the quarter and the fiscal year yesterday, January 31. I'm not sure how the worldwide sales team did overall-- the figures won't be finalized for several days-- but the account managers I work most closely with beat their targets. The salesperson who's my primary counterpart crushed it. He nearly doubled his quota of revenue. Another I've worked with occasionally achieved 125%.
Last night a group of managers who were working late as part of the "war room" telephoned me on a conference call to give kudos. That recognition felt great. But it's also great knowing that I'm once again part of a team that's working well together and exceeding its goals.
