Back from Uruguay, Sleeping In
At the hotel in Buenos Aires - Sun, 30 Dec 2018 - 11am
We got back from Uruguay late last night. I'd say "back home from" except we're not really home. The fact that we took a one-day jaunt to another country when we were already halfway around the world is a bit wild.
Last night was a late night. Our ferry landed in Buenos Aires after 10:30. It was easily 11 by the time we got to the hotel. We walked back from the port since it wasn't raining. Then we stayed up until sometime past 1am.
This morning it was only my desire for a free and easy breakfast that got me out of bed at a halfway reasonable hour. We rushed to the breakfast buffet at the club lounge before it closed around 9:30am. Afterward we've come back to our room and puttered around a bit. We're still basically catching our breath from a full day yesterday. But soon we'll get on with today. After all it's Sunday, the day of the famous San Telmo street fair!
