Iguaçu National Park, Brazil - Tue, 25 Dec 2018 - 3pm

In making our plans for a day trip from Argentina to Brazil to see Iguaçu Falls we identified two must-do activities. One, taking a boat tour, we already did. (Score: falls 1, camera 0.) Item two is walking out on the catwalks across the middle level of the falls. Our walk along the cliff edge brough us to that soon enough.

I wrote in my previous entry about the weaknesses of my iPhone camera relative to my (now busted) interchangeable lens camera. Well, the iPhone has at least one plus, its ability to stitch together panoramic picture automatically. What better place to use panorama capability than when surrounded by astonishing beauty for 180°.

Smartphones are great at shooting panoramas, and what better place for one than amidst all these waterfalls! Click image for full size.
BTW, out here on the catwalk there are places where we're getting reasonably wet. I'm keeping my iPhone tucked under a rain poncho when not taking pictures, but it's handling the spray like a champ.

Speaking of rain ponchos, here's Hawk representing another place famous for waterfalls with one:

Never before have I seen Yosemite give it up to another set of waterfalls. Click image for full size.
I've got to say, I've been enjoying the great outdoors for nearly 40 years now, and I have never- never- seen Yosemite have to give it up for waterfalls. Until now.
