I mentioned in a recent blog that I dropped my camera and broke it while hiking on Saturday. The rear LCD screen cracked and doesn't work anymore. Parts of Arkansas are quite pretty, actually. Especially around this time of year, when they actually have something called "fall". The leaves aren't as spectacular as in New England, but they can still be pretty. And the rolling hills and greenery (actual green plants!!!) can be lovely as well.

Some nice fun roads to drive on as well...

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I got the idea to do the trip at this time of year figuring that the weather still would be pleasant and we'd catch some fall color. Driving country roads through the rolling hills is part of our plan, too. I'm curious what roads you recommend.

I don't remember which roads we were on. It's been long enough ago, and I didn't do any of the planning for the car club event. I do know it was a "resort" area, but I don't even remember the name.

I traveled several times for the "Mid-US Ramble" events, and they tend to get mooshed together in my brain. But I do remember that there was some pretty scenery and were some nice roads.

We're going to be in a rental car for this trip so that limits the amount of behind-the-wheel fun relative to what we'd enjoy in a German sports car. But I'm not looking for highly sporty driving anyway, just enjoyable drives on hilly country roads.
