Trump Stretches Lead in Polls

Last week I mentioned that billionaire loudmouth Donald Trump was leading the field of Republican hopefuls in opinion polls (see previous article). As media attention to his many outrageous public statements has increased, Trump has followed the modern political playbook and "doubled down". Yes, he compounded his absurdities by saying even more absurd things. What's especially sad is that it seems to be working even better for him. He's advanced to an even bigger lead over his rivals going in to tonight's first GOP candidate debate.

How can so many people seriously support this guy? He's clearly not qualified to run his own mouth, let alone the US government.

Sometimes I really do feel like a misanthrosolipsist.
