Until less than 48 hours ago our plan was to be on yet-another trip right now. We'd head down to the high desert to see this year's superbloom. Alas just less than 48 hours ago we decided to cancel that trip.
Poor weather was the main reason I stated. But it isn't just the weather. It's us needing a break. After 12 days of travel trotting across several states we need some downtime to recharge.
What can we do with our time off from travel? Well, I could be catching up on my blogs. I still have at least 2-3 entries with pictures backlogged from early last week. In addition I have several politics/current events blogs I've been meaning to write. And just from yesterday and today I've been meaning to write about May the Fourth and Cinco de Mayo. Oh, I've had time I could have written any of these the past few days. I just... don't care right now. Maybe I need downtime from blogging, too. 😕
Well, we'll see what I do this weekend. One of my concerns in canceling the superbloom trip is/was, What if in staying home I'm bored by noon on Saturday? It's a real concern. "We'll go hiking locally!" Hawk and I agreed. But right now it's raining. Yeah, the crummy weather I groused about yesterday is still crummy. And there's continued crumminess through Saturday. Maybe I could spend the whole day writing blogs. Or not.
