First Day of Spring, 12th Atmospheric River

Today is the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Here in California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, it doesn't feel like the first of anything. It's yet-another rainy day in one of the rainiest seasons ever.

Today another atmospheric river rolled into the area. It's not even the first of those... it's actually the twelfth atmospheric

I learned Wednesday morning that those winds whipping around in my town Tuesday knocked down trees elsewhere in the Bay Area, damaging homes and cars. At least 4 people were killed in weather-related violence. Wednesday evening I learned that the same weather system caused a tornado in Los Angeles!
