Happy fall!
Whew--the new schedule is not doing good things for my posting on LJ. But life is good. Everything is going well, and hopefully I'll have the new routine figured out soon. My thoughts for this week? Classes on insects. I have a new stack of books on my desk, and am reading about bees. The verdict: bees are still fucking cool.
Fall is coming in, here in Chicago, just in time for the autumn solstice! At the beginning of the week, the trees were just starting to turn. Now the honey locusts (trees) are partially yellow, and some of the maples and vines have gone all the way to red. Fall colors ahoy!
Hopefully that means the mosquitos will die soon. I tried going for a walk after work on Thursday, and gave up after half an hour of being eaten.
Today is reorganizing around the house. I'm tackling the second desk, so that we don't have to share computer space at home. We've got the new shelf set up in the study, and I've cleared out a couple of crates of comic books--so that I have somewhere to put all the crap from my desk while I sort. Wish me luck!
