Well it has been awhile.
What's going on.
First a little rant about my Visual Fundamentals teacher.
She's a bitch
Okay I get the fact that criticism is apart of art and you should just suck it up and take it but this teacher is ruthless. She embarasses her students in front of the whole class by pointing out every terrible thing and repeating it over and over. She made a girl cry. She tears you apart. Now, I have no money at all. None! For this project we were to take pictures of the alphabet in nature. Like not actual letters on signs, letters we see in trees etc. etc. We also had to make a portfolio to put them in. She told everyone to go out and buy fancy paper to make it out of. I had no money so I used what I had (Black Canson Paper) and I made a pretty good portfolio (Thanks Mrs. Flaherty) So before she looked at mine I said, "I had to work with what I had because I had no money to go out and buy anything, I'm sorry" Her response, "Don't ever say that to me, not having money is a terrible excuse. Art is expensive deal with it." Something like that. That put me right down. However, she loved my pictures (luckily I had an awesome friend offer to buy me photo paper to print them out on.) She absolutely loved them. She gazed at my M and P like it was gold. She even asked me to print her copies to show her class as an example for next semster. She then proceeded to tell me how they weren't matted exactly straight and how terrible my craft was because there was an ink smudge on one. She told me with that kind of craft I would never make it as an art major. I cried on the way back from class. Apparently she did the same to her other class. too. She discourages her students in the most horrible way. And humiliates them in front of the whole class. It is unacceptable. This is a fucking class anyone, not just art majors, can take. It's a basic class you could take for your gen. ed. requirement. Her actions are totally inappropriate. I cannot wait to write her course evaluation sheet. God!

p.s. She also ripped people to shreds about thier actual photography. This is not a photogrphy class and she flat out said in beginning of our crit that she knew nothing about photogrpahy.
I hate her with a passion of 1000 burning suns.
Only a few more weeks though
I hate the fact that I have class tomorrow at 9:15 am until 12 with her.
