Google Chrome

Google released a new web browser today, Google Chrome. It's still in beta, like virtually everything else Google has ever done (is gmail even out of beta yet?) but so far I'm very impressed. I've popped up a few random pages and haven't had a problem yet. It's also faster than Firefox (and IE, although that should go without saying), and surprisingly quick to figure out.

The one thing that I don't like about it is the fact that the Home page is completely missing as an option by default -- you have to play with a few settings before you can actually even find the homepage.

Other than that... Seems good so far. And the technology underneath it sounds pretty fun -- how about a separate process per tab, my fellow nerds? -- which actually makes this the first time I've been excited and curious about the code underneath a web browser. So that's good.

If you're on Windows, Chrome's probably worth a serious look. You'll probably find a few things that annoy you, but personally, I'm pretty impressed so far.
