1) I had a meeting with a fairly large management company - with a senior partner. He liked me. Wanted to see some video of my stand up which i don't have readily available but am going to get him next week. I felt like I let him down by meeting with him and not having something to show him right then and I cried all the was home. These meetings are so weird. Everyone keeps telling me they need you. But it really does feel like some kind of fucked up job interview where you're both on acid and neither of you can figure out who is the employer and who is the employee. And well, it was my first BIG Hollywood meeting and I felt like a fish out of water. That said he sent an email reiterating he wants footage so at least he still wants to see my work and our face-to-face kept him interested and didn't make him lose interest.
2) Working on my Visa papers. Sara gave me lots of advice and I owe her buttloads.
3) Been booking more and more shows - slowly but surely. Oct. 1, November 14, etc.
4) Found out someone has a crush on me and I actually have a crush on them back.
5) I have the absolute WORST cold right now. Came on out of nowhere last night and I've been sidelined all freaking day. Sore throat, stabbing pains when I swallow, stuffed nose, fever and cough. But it will be gone by Friday - when I have my BIG main stage Comedy Store set. It will. I've already sent it an eviction notice. (See Sara, I'm taking your advice!
6) Discovered the best face cream ever thanks to DZ and also had the best home cooked meal. YUM.
7) Working on my script so I can enter it in a major TV writing contest on Oct 1. Can't wait to show it to Jen again with the new revisions!
8) Greg Carmicheal if you are around and reading this I MISS YOU! It was so awesome to hear from you!
That's LA in a nutshell right now. Next week I am going to the beach if it kills me. I need a day off.
