Quickity Quick-Quick
My Comedy Now! showcase went really well. They announce who they've picked for this year in a few months.I know they don't pick people their first time auditioning - you have to do it a few years in a row before you get picked. I had a really solid set and I think I made a good first impression, which means I should be asked to showcase again next year - and that's all I wanted. So I'm thrilled. The producer came up and talked to me and I gave him my dvd from The Comedy Store. it's only 10 minutes but it had completely different material than I did at the showcase so that's good.
I'm going on sick leave from work. My bowels aren't getting better and the medication they've put me on makes me cramp and keeps me up until all hours of the night (I have to take it before bed) so I end up very tired, headachy and cranky at work, which isn't very productive. And today, I sprouted a fever out-of-nowhere and had to go home. Still, I'm keeping positive.
I'm buying a laptop this weekend so I'll spend my sick days holed up in a coffee shop working on my writing... or curled up on my bed with the laptop... or hell, I could ever write on the toilet (which might end up being the case).
Oh and my friend Jack who is a personal bodyguard is going to take me to a range to fire a gun. It's one of my pre-birthday wishes. I've always wanted to fire a gun. He has 'em. I'm gonna fire 'em. lol. (maybe I am a redneck at heart).
I have to take Tuggs to the vet Saturday. He's got this thing growing off his foot and it's getting bigger by the second. Also, his kidneys are bothering him - I know cuz he's peeing. A lot. I hope he's okay.
