Week #4... head popping off
I had an interview today for a six-month contract with Allstream earlier today. It's not where I really want to go with my career right now; not so much because I don't like or know how to do the functions, but more-so because I might end up bored taking it. I'd probably end up taking it though. The interview went well though, and there's a bit of a buffer in place (up to month) before they'll make a decision.
Being idle for this long is driving me mental. I've been saying since the last time I was unemployed. I'm not the kind of person who can just sit around and do nothing.
Last night was good. shmanny finally got the inspiration to switch to my old eMac. It only took her ten months to get up the nerve, but last night, I went over to her place and she has joined the dark side. According to her many facebook statuses today, I'm pretty sure she's happy to have finally made the switch.
I looked at two more new apartments today. One was a shithole, but the other has potential. I'm still leaning toward the very first place I looked at though... just need to measure it and make sure I can get my couch up the stairs.
The rest of the week is shaping up to be pretty filled. Wednesday, Jordan might come over and hang, then I'll be seeing There Will Be Blood with Dave Arthurs. Thursday, heading for some Dim Sum and then to the ROMwith Boris. Neither of us have been there in a few years, and I'm stoked to see the Crystal from the inside. Friday is lunch at Yum again. They miss me.
Well, I think I'll do what the cool kids on the dole do now and have a drink or two. Might as well; it's not like I have anything else to do.
