so yea, i've kind of been stuck on this song since mark made me listen to it on saturday. i mean, it was kind of okay before, but now it just like..won't go away. damn you, bowling for soup and your catchy, funny-yet-sincere writing!! also i am analytical, analytical to the max (as 80s futurama guy would say).
aaaaanyway..i haven't updated in a while, which is bad because there's supposed to be a livejournal revolution going down here and i'm not being a very good revolt...er. revoltee? i dont know..
ANYWAY...
friday was tres cool, went to the mall with the throwers (lahna, meg, melissa and kait) + jackie. according to kait, since i'm an honorary thrower, but really a sprinter/jumper, i'm like the confused chicken in 102 dalmations that thinkis its a duck! we inadvertently got ourselves into a massive game of hide and seek between the blondes and the..um..me-lahna-and-kaits. unfortunately, we lost, which is tragic because melissa, meg and jackie really should not be people who are outsmarting us. i knew we should've paged them...
but that's ok, because now we get to make a movie called Katrina, Lahna and Kait Do the Mall. or something like that.
anyway, there are a whole bunch of interesting pictures i think. melissa likes red bull machines, i'm a mall hobo (i could totally sleep on those benches), and we stopped an escalator so we could sit on it. being a thrower is too cool.
saturday was GOLD RUSH!
yes, the meet that i've spent far too much time being excited about.
it was incredibly wet and rainy, which was really fun and nice for like..the first couple of hours when i was running, but then not so much. by the end i was completely soaked and freezing. but that's ok, cuz i had a pretty good time. i got to have mucho cliche moments where the rain was pouring and i was soaking wet, while staring up at the bleachers searching for people. whoohoo cliche moments!! also, johanna, lauren and elyse were there, but they missed my first race, boo. tom's got a fuzzy head now! he had to yell at me to stop patting it...
i won my heat in the 200 :o) given my seed time was pretty off, but that's ok. suss said i looked really good and that i can definetly break 30 :oD hm..i don't think i realized that i actually miss him being around. i mean, none of the coaching staff has really seemed to give a crap about me this spring, so it's nice to know that someone of experienced coaching and such thinks i'm worth something. the 4x1 went not so well. we ended up in the first heat and i have no idea how. there was some baton-droppage which i'll not get into because it'll definetly make me start yelling and that won't be good. really wanna find out my times though.
worked varsity high jump after i was done competing. girls winner jumped 4'10, boys jumped 5'10. bahh that's insane. had lots of fun though. kelly, jackie and i got to complement that don bosco guy on his hair. but then he did that weird tongue thing while he took his approaches, so that was weird. also, some junior from poughkeepsie owes me a cookie...
yes track is my life and i can't stop talking about it, sorry. but it's over in 13 days which is kind of exciting but also kind of terrifying. i dont know, i'm weird.
um..i had more to say, but lucky you, i'm tired.
i'll try to update more often so that my entries aren't so damn long...
