Hahhahaha I know! Take Me Out at Number 1! It's utterly fantastic. Alex's acceptance speech was adorable. I voted for all the Franz songs on Triple J's playlist, but I knew that if one was going to win, it would be Take Me Out. And you know what I reckon? I reckon that this might make Franz (or their managers or whatever) realise that the band is really popular in Australia, which means that maybe next time they'll have the sense to include Brisbane in their next tour! I so desperately hope so. If not, I'm flying down to Sydney again, just so I can see them.
I was listening to Pelle and Chris from The Hives on Triple J this afternoon. Hahaha, they're hilarious! They're like "Hmm yes, the sleep is good in Australia". So Pelle was blowing kisses to your sister, hey? Heh, he's lovely. Unfortunately I couldn't get very close to the stage, because it was absolutely packed (as was to be expected). But I wish The Hives were playing an actual concert in Brisbane. Yet again, Melbourne and Sydney get proper gigs while Brisbane misses out. Le sigh. Oh well, I got me a nice Hives shirt from the Big Day Out, at any rate. :)
