Gettin lucky in Kentucky...

This weekend went to Louisville, KY to visit Beth. Got some Skyline chili on Friday. It was my first time of course, I even got a bib. Then we went bar hopping with late night food at Juanita's, some burger place Tim was raving about. Apparently the "Burger Boy" is like a Frish's Big Boy. The locals laughed at me, but sorry, I'm not from around here. But wow, the people in there were interesting. When we walked in there was someone who looked like a man playing a video card game at the counter and 2 people sitting on the side. The 2 people on the side apparently worked tbere bc the one woman took our order after laughing at me. And then the person cooking our food was the one that was sitting at the counter earlier, and is apparently a woman. The food was ok, but nothing great. Just regular double cheeseburgers and fries. Got some "icy cold bling bling" from the 50 cent machine on the way out. Now i'm stylin!
Saturday Beth was volunteering with some other co-ops at a local boys' home for kids with behavior problems. So we got some free pizza and then played dodgeball with the kids for a while. They were all excited that we were there, and then some of them didnt want us to leave. It was cool. Then we went to the Maker's Mark distillery and got a tour. Saw how they make it and stuff. At the end they give you a piece of bourbon candy. It was good, yummy. That was the best part and the second best part was when you get to stick your finger in the huge barrrels adn taste the not yet done whisky. Beth was right. I told my sister about that and she thought it was kinda nasty, but not really. So in 5-6 years when you buy a bottle of Maker's Mark, you can think, Allison touched this. heehee. One of the souvinirs they sell is a small bottle of whisky and you can dip it in the wax yourself. Mine has 2 1/2 drips, but the one is really long it's like 3 in 1.
Saturday night was off to O'Malley's. 4 clubs in 1. The first one is a country bar with country music, duh, line dancing, and a mechanical bull. Saw some mullets and femullets. Mostly older people. The next one is the ghetto bar. This is where all the black people come to party. Then there was the almost normal club. Mix of people and music. Last but not least there was the 80's club. That one was the best. Even with the 50 yr olds hitting on me. Beth and I are dancing and this lady starts to dance with Beth, no big deal until she tries to get us to dance with her man friend. Then after that some other random guy complete with grey hair tries dancing with me. We're laughing, and Beth leaves me, some friend, lol. But it was ok, was able toi get out of that one, not early enough that I wouldve liked, but oh well. Always something new. There was also this other guy that started talking to us (he was actually college aged) and then bought me a bull ride and both of us a beer. I was going to ride the bull anyway, and it was awesome. Wow, I don't even know what else to say about this place. Trying to explain it just does not do it justice.
Sunday laid around for a little bit then off to the races! Well first got some Sonic where you order the food drive through style and they bring it out to your car. Pretty good. Went to Churchill Downs, where they have the Kentucky Derby and saw about 5 races. Bet on two of them, lost both. On the 2nd one, my horse came in dead last. I think I'll stick to football.
And I think that's it for my weekend. All in all, pretty quiet. :-p

Turkey day this week and Aunt Connie comes tomorrow, should be interesting, haha.

Alright, time for mnf now.
