OS - Prompt 72 .2: Kiss
Gwen leaned in as Rhys planted a kiss on her lips. It wasn’t a kiss of passion or desire. It was a kiss of comfort and insurance. It was the insurance that he’d be there no matter what. That was exactly what Gwen Williams needed at this very moment. She needed that reassurance from Rhys. Just to be held in his arms and be told that everything was going to be alright.
Rhys pulled Gwen into his arms as they sat on the couch watching the tele. Gwen wasn’t paying much attention to what was on, she didn’t care. She buried her head into Rhys’ chest and closed her eyes. Gwen could feel Rhys shift a bit from his position and then she felt his lips on her forehead as he gave her a soft kiss. “Love you.” Rhys said in a caring voice.
“I know.” Gwen responded back. “That’s why I’m here.” A tiny smile formed across her lips and then she drifted into a light sleep. Being in Rhys’ arms was the one thing that calmed the Welsh woman after the recent events at Torchwood. Every night when she’d come home after seeing something terrible she knew that she could curl into Rhys’ arms and feel secure. He was her rock.
