Action/Video for Route 31
[The feed comes on to show Sawako, who after spending quite a while in Cherrygrove, is currently on her way to Violet city. She is holding a small cake, which she had purchased in Cherrygrove to eat today in celebration of her birthday, and her recently hatched Poochyena, Maru-chan, is now standing at her feet. It’s giving her a rather pitiful look, clearly hoping for a piece.]
Ummm…Happy New Year’s everyone!
[She glances at Maru-chan, who is now whining, its tail wagging enthusiastically.]
I-I’m really sorry! I don’t think I can give you this. Normal dogs would get sick if they ate this, I think, so I really don’t think I can. I’ll give you something else if you’d like, but I’m pretty sure this is meant to be eaten by humans.
[Maru-chan growls in response. Clearly, although she’s had no problems with Misdreavus so far, Maru-chan is no more fond of her than animals back home.
Sawako smiles slightly. Even if Maru-chan dislikes her, it's nice to have the additional company on her birthday. She then returns her attention to the pokegear.]
I was wondering…What do people here normally do in celebration of New Year’s? I was hoping to go to a temple, but I don’t know that there are any around here, and I’m not even in a city yet…
