Yikes! I'm glad to hear you're OK. We had a friend run her sled into a chain link fence last year (I know, a chain link fence?!) and she ended up in the hospital with back surgery.

Well I have to tell you that I am very thankful that you had an angel watching over you that day!! I know I don't log on here much but as soon as I saw the words "metal pole" I was worried. I'm glad to hear that you are better and must tell you a short tale of my own that includes snow, sledding and metal poles ( ... )

! yep, I'm thankful you got away with no permanent damage. and you're right, you don't realize how important the back is to every movement you make, until it's injured like this. I hope you get back to normal soon!
